Bad Beat Jackpot

WOW! PartyPoker.com brings you another great way to win: The Progressive High Hand Jackpot.

There’s nothing bigger or better than winning the jackpot! And there’s double the fun when the jackpot gets BIGGER AND BIGGER as you play!

This is how it works: For every raked hand played on our Progressive Jackpot tables, a jackpot contribution of $0.50 will be collected from the pot. That way, the jackpot increases every time a hand is raked on one of our many jackpot tables. With more than 100 tables, the jackpot typically increases by $1,000 every hour!

PartyPoker.com offers you two different progressive jackpots:

  • The Bad Beat Jackpot
  • The High Hand Jackpot

The principle in both jackpots is the same, but the winning conditions are different. On the Bad Beat tables you're a winner if you lose with a hand of 'Four of a Kind', eights or better. On the High Hand tables you hit the jackpot with a 'Royal Flush'.

Progressive Bad Beat Jackpot:

Our Progressive Bad Beat Jackpot was hit over 80 times in 2005 and paid out more than $8.5 million to PartyPoker.com players.

LOSE TO WIN!

Play on our Bad Beat Jackpot tables and win if you lose with a hand of 'Four of a Kind', eights or better.

Fund distribution

Every time the jackpot is hit, 70% of the jackpot will be distributed and 20% will be used as a seed for the next jackpot. 10% will be retained by PartyPoker.com as an administrative fee. Of the distributed amount, 50% will go to the loser of the hand (the Bad Beat), 25% to the winner and 25% will be split between the other seated players who actively participated in the hand (any player who was sitting out will not receive a portion of the jackpot).

To qualify for the Progressive Bad Beat Jackpot

  • Bad beats will be paid out on real money Hold'em games (Limits $2/$4, $3/$6, $5/$10, $10/$20 and $15/$30), only available under the Bad Beat Jackpot Tab
  • Four or more players must be dealt into the hand
  • Players sitting out do not qualify for the jackpot
  • The losing hand must contain four of a kind, eights or better to qualify
  • The best hand for both the winner and the loser must include both of their hole cards and the hand must go to a showdown
  • The hand must be raked and the jackpot contribution collected from the hand in order to qualify for a bad beat jackpot
  • If there are two or more hands that qualify for the jackpot within one hand, then the two highest hands will be considered for the jackpot, with the highest hand being the winning hand (the winner) and the second highest hand winning the bad beat (the loser of the hand)
  • In the event that two qualifying jackpot hands are hit at exactly the same time, the hand that started first (based on our system clock) will be awarded the jackpot
  • Players must play their hands independently and cannot tell opponents how to act or reveal their hand to other players. Violations will disqualify the hand from the jackpot

Progressive High Hand Jackpot:

Our progressive high hand jackpot has been hit 163 times in just five months, paying out more than $450,000 to PartyPoker.com players.

WIN & WIN BIG!

Play on our High Hand Jackpot tables and hit the jackpot if you win with a Royal Flush.

Fund distribution

Every time the jackpot is hit, 70% of the jackpot amount will be distributed and 20% will be used as a seed for the next jackpot. 10% will be retained by PartyPoker.com as an administrative fee. Of the distributed amount, 70% will go to the winner of the hand (the High Hand), and the remaining 30% will be split between the other seated players who actively participated in the hand (any player who sat out will not receive a portion of the jackpot). So if the jackpot amount is $500,000, we will pay out $350,000, while $100,000 will be used to seed the next jackpot. On a six player table, the winner of the hand receives $245,000, while the remaining five players receive $21,000 each.

To qualify for the Progressive High Hand Jackpot

  • Four or more players must be dealt into the hand
  • Players sitting out do not qualify for the jackpot
  • The winning hand must contain a Royal Flush to qualify
  • The winning hand must include both the player’s hole cards and the hand must go to a showdown.
  • The hand must be raked and a jackpot contribution collected from the hand to qualify for a high hand jackpot
  • In the event that two hands qualify for the jackpot at exactly the same time, the hand that started first (based on our system clock) will be awarded the jackpot
  • Players must play their hands independently and cannot tell opponents how to act or reveal their hand to other players. Violations will disqualify the hand from the jackpot.

Other conditions applicable to all jackpots

  • The jackpot contribution is collected from the pot as soon as the first rake is collected in the hand
  • The jackpot contribution is collected only once during the hand and the value of the jackpot contribution is $0.50
  • The jackpot contribution collected on any jackpot table is displayed on the right-hand side of the dealer
  • These contributions are added to the jackpot until it is hit. Contributions from the High Hand Jackpot tables will go toward the High Hand Jackpot, while contributions from the Bad Beat Jackpot tables will go toward the Bad Beat Jackpot
