Disconnection and Cancellation Policy

Except as otherwise expressly stated in writing by PartyPoker.com, the following terms and conditions set forth the rules and procedures that govern all Players' rights in the event of disconnection and game cancellation:

Disconnect Protection is a tool implemented to protect players in the event that their Internet connection is inadvertently lost while they are involved in a pot. If a player is disconnected, that player will be allowed to continue in the hand (provided he or she has Disconnect Protection available) and contest that portion of the pot that he or she had become financially involved in up to the point of disconnection.

PartyPoker.com strives to offer the best Disconnect Protection to our players. Our goal is to protect players while also maintaining appropriate checks so that the protection is not abused.

Disconnect Protection is in no way intended to be used for any purpose other than a genuine disconnect. Any misuse of this policy by intentionally disconnecting from the poker site may result in forfeiture of any monies won, tournament disqualification, the loss of the Disconnect Protection privilege, or expulsion from the site.

Our software is designed to detect whether a player had a genuine disconnection before giving the Disconnect Protection to him. If a player tries to get Disconnect Protection by simply not acting on his/her turn and getting 'timed out', he/she is deemed to have folded.

Players MUST accept the risk of disconnection. Disconnections can and do occur. (Log back on and continue play as quickly as possible). To limit potential disconnection difficulties, please consult with your ISP as to what measures can be initiated to help reduce this risk. At no time will PartyPoker.com assume responsibility for disconnected players regardless of cause.

If a player is disconnected during the play of a hand and has Disconnect Protection available, that protection will kick in and the player will be able to contest that part of the pot in which they had invested money (and can win whatever was in the pot at the time of the disconnect).

PartyPoker.com reserves the right to alter this policy and render final decisions on all matters herein at its sole discretion. Policy changes and relevant decisions will be communicated accordingly via PartyPoker.com via electronic and/or written means.

Live Game Disconnect Protection:

Disconnect Protection resets are allowed three times in a seven-day period for live game play. This means that before PartyPoker.com successfully processes a player's reset request; we will determine whether the player has used up his or her quota of resets. If the player has, PartyPoker.com will not reset the protection automatically.

Each player is limited to the use of eight Disconnect Protections (three resets) within a seven-day period for live game play.

A player may request for a Disconnect Protection reset by using either of the following two methods:

Go to Lobby --> Click on 'Options' --> Click on ‘Reset Disconnect-Protect’;

OR

While at the table, click on the 'Dealer's Chip Tray' to get the options. One of the options is 'Request Disc. Protect'. Just click it to send a reset request to us.

12. On the successful resetting of a player's Disconnect Protection count, the player will receive a confirmation.

Sit & Go Single-Table Tournament Game Disconnect Protection:

13. We have removed disconnect protects from all Sit & Go Single-Table tournaments. You will be folded if you lose your connection. This change was implemented due to popular demand from our players.

PLAY MONEY GAMES

: Each player will be refunded the exact amount of chips he or she had bought in when he or she took the seat at the table. This is done because we do not record ALL play money hand information.

SIT & GO SINGLE-TABLE TOURNAMENTS:

If a Tournament is cancelled due to technical issues, any player who was eliminated prior to this time will lose his or her buy-in and entry fee. The remaining players will be refunded their buy-ins and entry fees and will equally divide up the buy-in monies from the players already eliminated, regardless of the chip standing when the tournament was halted.

SIT & GO MULTI-TABLE TOURNAMENTS

If a tournament is cancelled due to technical issues, the following refund policy will be implemented: Eliminated players at the time of cancellation will not be refunded their buy-in (amount that goes into the prize pool) or entry fee (amount the house takes).

Players still in the tournament at the time of cancellation will be refunded as follows:

1.Prize money equal to the amount that would have been awarded to the next player getting eliminated from the Sit & Go will be awarded to all the players still in the tournament at the time of cancellation.

2.Of the balance prize pool left awarding as per point 1, 50% of the remaining prize pool will be distributed equally between all players still in the tournament at the time of cancellation and 50% of the remaining prize pool will be distributed on a percentage basis at the time of cancellation based on their chip count.

3.Their entry fee (for example: $3 in a $30+$3 tournament

'No DP' Tables

Selected tables will not have Disconnect Protection for disconnects. These tables are identified in the lobby by the listing 'no DP' next to the table name.

These tables will not offer the conventional disconnect protection but will wait for the user to re-connect, based on the investment made in the pot. The players' time bank will not be used, but the system will wait for the player to re-connect, based on the following rules:

No time added if Pot size is up to 5*X

20 seconds if the pot is more than 5*X and up to 20*X

30 seconds if the pot is more than 20*X and up to 40*X

45 seconds if the pot is more than 40*X and up to 80*X

60 seconds if the pot is more than 80*X

'X' is the big blind amount if it's a flop game or lower limit of the stakes for 7 Card Stud games.

For tournaments, this big blind amounts or lower limits of the stakes would be based on the level of the tournament at the time of the disconnection.

When a player is disconnected and has no investment in the pot, the hand will be folded when the regular time allotted expires. However, if a check option exists to a disconnected player, the hand will be checked after the regular time allotted has expired.

Blackjack

If you are disconnected in the middle of a blackjack game, please log back in to your account. The disrupted game will appear as it was when you were disconnected. If you were disconnected after submitting information, the next sequence or result will appear as it would have been had you not been disconnected.

If you continue to experience problems, please contact our Customer Care team. We will investigate the situation fully. If we determine that you lost the money because of a bug in our system, and not because of general Internet disruptions, we will refund your losses immediately.

Side Bets

If you are disconnected in the middle of a side bet, then any side bets that have been placed will continue to be played and you can view the results in your 'Side Bet History' when you log back in. Any repeat bet settings will be turned off - only side bets on current hands will continue to completion.

If you are disconnected while you have the repeat bet option ON, on any table, then this option will be turned OFF, but any bets on current hands will be completed.

If a game crashes before the flop is shown and you had a side bet on the current hand, then we will return the side bet amount to you. This will be treated as a 'No Flop Seen' result.

Deal Making

If you are disconnected while you are in the middle of the deal making process, it will continue as though you were still connected. The following scenarios can occur:

You reconnect while the deal is still taking place and have time to participate.

You do not reconnect before a time restriction has lapsed and the deal is rejected because the deal making time has elapsed.

Other players have rejected the deal while you were disconnected and play has resumed.

The deal cannot be agreed to unless ALL players seated at the table approve of the deal. A disconnection is an implicit rejection of the deal unless you manage to reconnect and confirm the deal in the allotted time.
