New to PartyPoker.com? Here's a quick overview of what you'll find in the world's largest poker room!

When you're ready to play, you can check out step-by-step instructions on how to get started or you can jump right in and download our free software now.

Main Lobby

When you first log in to your PartyPoker.com software, you’ll arrive in the main Lobby. This is where you can select a real money or play money game and join a tournament. If you like, you can watch the action while others play.

In the center of the window, you'll see a list of all our tables and tournaments. Simply use your mouse to scroll through the list.

Next to each category (e.g., Cash Games or Tournaments), you'll see a '+' symbol. Click this to expand a category and view the list of tables or events it contains.

For example, in the screenshot shown here, by clicking 'Limit Hold'em' within the 'Cash Games' heading, you’ll see the choices of limits.

You can also choose to apply a 'filter' to your view of the tables or tournaments.

Game Table

To go to a table, you can double-click it or click it once and click the 'Open Table' button located at the bottom of the Lobby window.

On the right, you can see a screenshot of a game table in action.

• You can choose to sit in any chair marked 'Seat Open'.
• The information box next to each player shows the player's name and the amount of money he or she is playing.
• The dealer button (in Hold'em and Omaha) indicates the dealer. It will be a red button on your screen. The dealer button moves one player to the left before each new hand is dealt.
• The betting function buttons appear when it's your turn to act. Depending on the options available to you on any particular turn, the appropriate combinations of 'Check', 'Call', 'Bet', 'Raise' or 'Fold' will appear.
• To increase the pace of the game, we have provided a set of advanced options including 'auto-post blind' and 'muck losing hand'. You can choose any of these options before it's your turn to act.
• The 'Chat' box is where the dealer's comments and all players' conversations are displayed.
